Below is a step-by-step description of a process in my business. Review it and identify: steps where the same information is entered more than once; handovers that depend on someone remembering to do something; steps that wait on one specific person; and any point where information moves between systems by hand. List the issues you find in order of how much time or risk each one probably represents. For each issue, suggest the simplest possible improvement, including improvements that involve no new technology. Be honest if a step looks fine as it is.
